| The Miller Residence combines "Green Building" with contemporary design. The owners were an integral part of this project, infusing their knowledge of the arts into the overall design. The result is a magnificent myriad of roof slopes and forms working in sync with the surrounding landscape. |  |
| The overall performance of the design has yet to be truly tested. Though at the moment (with massng material installed), the average mean temperature in the house stays between 68 and 72 degrees throughout the day. At night and in the winter, the massing (slate flooring with 4" of concrete beneath) will re-radiate the day's heat. Combined with other elements such as structual skin roof panels and super insulated 2x6 walls, the house will stay at these same temperatures with little or no help from the radiant in-floor heat. |

exposed beams, open atmosphere, and the soft stucco combine to
make this house a comfortable and elegant place to live in. |
